Cheers WH.
But not so keen on purchasing panorama software as I hardly ever take panoramas and I know that photoshop can do it, so for the very few panos I take I may as well use that.

Cheers, I was pretty pleased with it :). I had to tweak a couple of the shots a wee bit in PS before stitching, as I'd locked the exposure while metering for the straight-ahead-down-the-trail shot, which left the ones of the foreground very dark. Kinda gives it a semi-HDR look, which I quite like.

Last stream one - well maybe. I am very much enjoying getting up into the Waitakere Ranges - they are close to home, are very photogenic and give me a good excuse to get off my ass without having to ask permission to go ride twice in a weekend...

This is from Fairy Falls stream

That lens is damn tempting, nice price, but I need a new body first - and I am skint (only in the financial sense)

Wow, love that irridescent effect in the stream, PhilterNZ :) Are you using a ND filter? If so, how strong (dunno the correct term for grading ND filters...) is it?

yep - I was using an ND4. Gives a slight boost to the depth of the colours as well as allowing for the slower speeds. Just makes manual focusing a pain in the ass :)

Craig Potten is coming to speak at the next nelson camera club meeting. Going to be wicked.

Nice - I would love to fouind out what sort of gear he uses - and how he gets to make money from photography. You will have to give us a quick review after he has spoken.

if he is ever looking for a second shooter in Auckland......
