This old house in Middleton Road (near Tawa) is super and has a lover/murder etc etc history as well. Photo isn't mine (googled image - hat tilt to photographer). Unfortunately the steep hill behind deals to the astro option.

Was recently for sale for the first time since about WW2. The owner (went to prison for the murder) lived in it up to his death.

It's basically on the cnr of Ponatahi and Miller Rds, near Gladstone. Popular roadie circuit so most local cyclists should be able to give directions.
