Looks like the Moerangi track to me. It's a really nice ride - about 40ish km point to point.

Visited Bushy Park on the way home, a big old house that we use to stay in as children, lots of rimu, stained glass. Bit frustrating with only a 50mm lens, wondering about getting a 20mm for the canon but they are 700 hundred. Perhaps just buy a small cheap digital instead?

Nice. I used to enjoy going to Bushy Park as a kid with its old house and patch of native forest with the massive Rata.

That first shot is a prime candidate for HDR. Bring out a bit more detail in the window frames and curtains as well as the bushes outside.
