I have a 85mm f1.2L MkII, and seldom use the 16-25 f2.8L and 70-200mm f2.8L (non-IS) zooms that I bought thinking they would be the duck's nuts on full frame.wuffy wrote:Okay...
So I'm making the switch from Zoom lenses to fixed primes... (about time)...

20 grand wouldn't even get you close to a full set! A new 800 f5.6L would swallow that in one go. A second hand 1200 f5.6L would probably be a bargain at $125k thanks to the high dollar.

It's not that they can't operate outside of 0 - 40ºC, but rather that battery performance becomes less stable. Those same operating recommendations apply to almost any electronic devices, but tend to be very conservative.kona.stinky. wrote:http://www.red.com/products/red-one
Can somebody explain to me why a camera like this can't work below 0˚C or higher than 40˚C?

Would be impressed if you could find a 200 f1.8 - those things are like rocking horse poo.
On the plus side, i have the f2.8 and its crazy sharp and a beautiful lens
