Very much so.
AFIK non of the non SLR's (apart from the sony a33,a55 ) can manage sustained high speed still shooting like an SLR can. Most SLR's can shoot at their max frame rate in jpg without limits now and can get 10-20+ frames of raw before slowing down.

I meant to ask this ages ago, got a couple of negs that I'd really like to get scanned for sentimental reasons.
Is it possible to scan to RAW format? This may be a complete impossibility, but figure that the neg printing machines can carry out some sort of "processing" so might use RAW internally?

There is a general sort of options list on the website http://www.wps.net.nz/lab-services/ but not a price list. The price list is an in-store pamphlet. Give 'em a callthey're really good.
