Which track is "No Cicadas"? There are a heap of tracks in the Belmont Regional Park, but I haven't heard of that one.

120km of the Taranaki Round the mountain on the Roadrat. Great ride - and surprisingly quick on only 9 gears.

work interferes with training :(

did manage a decent mtb ride friday though - up rapaki, out to the bottom of greenwood park and back up it (it's one of the nicest climbs on the hills - though I normally avoid going up it at weekends in deference to people enjoying whizzing down it), along the tops to flying nun and down that and old dyers - about 4 hours of singletrack goodness (should have been more like 3 hours but it was 30 degrees up there)

Excellent weather today for an extended (for me) ride. Starting in Kelburn, rode Roller-coaster, through to Wright's hill, Deliverance, Koru, etc to top of Leaping Lizard, down LL to Nikau, back up Aratihi, then Zac's, Varley's and some of skyline to Parkvale Road. Back home via Salvation and Scout Hall.

Makara peak tracks are in superb condition. Fast and grippy.

Yesterday rode from Loch Katrine to Hurinui Hut. 4wd track, boulder hopping, stream crossings & beech forest singletrack. A few trees down and a bit of walking required in the forest going up, but mostly ridable on the way down and downhill with a tail wind home.

Very gentle skid up mt vic, first time back into it. Leg gave more grief when pushing up the hill than when actuall riding, which is probably a good thing. Soooooo unfit. Of course, cleaned the piss easy bit of track I biffed on a month ago with no issue whatsoever. stupid.

Drove out to Petone, the rode up Korokoro Stream, then up to Oakleigh St. Absolutely loved that climb, and was stoked to nail the short section of steps! Then DANZIG, down Big Weta and up DANZIG again. Hung a right at the top, then a left onto some singletrack down to Hill Rd (edit: Sweetacres according to tracks.org.nz). Then headed up and past a bunch of bunkers etc and around to Belmont Trig before dropping back down to the car via Baked Beans Bend. Was a great ride, and a good work out!
