I'll be up there, so there'll be one other at least. Probably attempt to finish the first of the three switchbacks, but may get bored with that and move on up further.

Thanks to the usual suspects, good dig day and the area of three switchbacks is behind us. Currently heading north to meet a 4wd track which we will briefly use to go south again before heading back into the bush. Will be there again next week, wednesday, from 1230ish. If interested just head south in the small park on left before Holloway road in Aro valley (bottom of planet ride). Start of track is hidden up on small path behind blackberry to the right.

Yep tankman, the track is multi use, runners, walkers are welcome and any DECENT 4wd driver in something like a short wheel base RAV 4 should have no problems.

After a bit of a break, the work parties are back up and running. Except for the start which is hidden behind blackberry the track is now ridable to the 4wd track. Probably a kilometre in length with 2-3 k to go. Check it out if in the area. From 1230, wednesday, gauranteed strong feng schway and chocolate pineapple lumps.

Hmmm. I'm planning on riding into work on wednesday. What time and place should I be at to help out this week?

The aim is to finish of the last piece before the 4wd track from 1230 wednesday. Probably best to ride up from the small park at the bottom of Aro valley, next to where planet ride finishes and just before Holloway road. Just head south in the park, the start of the track is up on the right hidden behind blackberries. The other way is via steep driveway on Durham st, No81 that connects to 4wd track, but this isn't so easy if you don't know where the track comes out. Not sure how many will turn up as still holidays but I'll be there.

Kewl. I'll head up from work. Is the track properly hidden behind blackberries - last time I was in the park (the grassy bit next to the bottom of planet ride/backdoor), there was a really obvious new singletrack on the southeastern end of the grassy plateau.
