Q: Can you use Salsa Cross Levers with Avid bb5s nad bb7s? Do your prices and the Avid brakes include both front and back...are they sold as a set?
A: Aha, is this actually Dr. Blech, renowned philosopher and evil genius? If so, I'm on to your game, sir, as your question--seemingly simple enough at first glance--is actually an attempt to open a rift in the very bond between logic and the human mind.
To no avail!
I'm on to you, my dear professor. This most recent attempt of yours to twist the very nature of logic is again wasted on my superior intellect, though, as always, I admire the genius of your crafty attempt, and renew my former assertion that you are indeed a worthy adversary. Here then is the response to your "question," written in the form of a logical syllogism (or something like that):
A) Avid BB7 Mechanical Mountain Disc Brake Calipers are designed to be used with linear-pull mountain bike brake levers.
B) Salsa 'Cross Levers are designed to be used in conjunction with regular road brake levers (including individual drop bar levers and integrated shift/brake systems such as the Shimano STI and Campy Ergo).
C) Road brake levers (see list above) are not compatible with Avid BB7 Mechanical Mountain Disc Brake Calipers.
Ergo: Salsa 'Cross Levers are not designed to work with Avid BB7 Mechanical Mountain Disc Brake Calipers.
This can also be represented thus:
If A hates C, and C is all, like, "Oh B you're so cool! I want to share a single cable with you forever," then, logically, A hates--or at least maintains a smoldering distaste for--B.
