The Flahute wonders what happened to the Flahute training weather? There is a yellow orb in the sky and the ground is dry.

The Flahute gave a preview of Stage One to the first two registered riders today.
From the thousand yard stares and whining at the end, the stage is sufficient to begin the journey of becoming a Flahute.
The skinny one turned up on an inappropriate bike and with not a single item of clothing matching, what was worse he had a backpack!
The fat one at least rode a suitable bike and was colour coordinated, however he wobbled all over the pave instead of powering through like a Flahute.
The Flahute was disappointed that there was no blood and that the rain started after we completed the reconnoitre.
The first stage will be slightly shorter as to allow for less whining and the discovery that a road did not exist that formed part of the stage.
Continue your training, worship at the altar of Merckx, pray for rain.

Bikekiller thinks you'll find it's called facetiousness

Mr Flahute: please ignore BKR, he's a curmudgeon. Keep up the good work.

Epic stuff indeed. For those that don't know, that's the great Bernard Hinault on his way to winning the 1980 Liege-Bastogne-Liege solo by over 9 minutes. Out of 174 starters only 21 finished...

Yeah. It may not have had pavé, but it wasn't exactly a walk in the park. There're a few vid's around of the riders at the finish, and they were in a bad state.

Looks like a good ride, even if the turn-out indicates woosiness is endemic in the population. Build it and they will come...

deep, deep disappointment that didn't notice this thread earlier :(
Does lack of training, excess weight and a shit bike ( not sure that i really want to bring the good one along) make one more or less Flahute?
I also may struggle to get a leave pass for this . . . . I presume this is most un-Flahute?
