I did some hill repeats up my new favouritish (closest to home...) hill, from the Ohariu Valley crossroads to the summit of Ironside Rd.

On my way down, through the hairpin at about 35-40, someone in a white station wagon passed me on the inside  - imagine my surprise when I looked a bit more closely and saw the cop lights and cop electronics all over the dashboard. I'd have thought passing people on the inside of hairpin turns probably wasn't a very good example to be setting .... But I can't complain too much because I've been known to to exactly the same thing, and because he did leave a tonne of room (well over the required 1.5m). Just gave me a bit of a surprise is all.

First decent ride of note in about 6 months for me... just a 40km cruise from work in J'ville to home in Newtown via the bays. But felt good having the motivation to do it. Need to lose some of the 18kgs I've put on since April. :(

:o :D :D Just as well he wasn't a real dick, he could have pulled you over for not staying in your lane!

? I was inside my lane... It's a hairpin turn to the right downhill between Jville and the valley floor (you probably know the one?)

He could have pulled me over for doing 62km/hr on the steep straightish bit just before there though (presume he was behind me at that point).

Did you have to drink the entire bottle or was there still a bit left to splash on the sunburn? Did you supplement your moisture needs with some of the Colonel's finest gravy today? :D

World Champs today (Tuesday am PMH bunch) Pretty classy field, I think there were even some non-world champions there. Pretty fast once it hit Gebbiesand I got shelled on the pinch rollers. Was a relief to be caught by Roly doing his K3's up Evans, nobody even attempted to pass him.
