FWIW I went for a ride on my MTB today with my XC style helmet. It was perfect, well vented, and the visor was there when I needed it with the low afternoon autumn sun.
I even rode some enduro style trails, and it also worked well on those tracks. I also rode very fast down a short section of tar sealed road on my way home, helmet worked well in that situation also.

Surely this thread can be deleted now.
