Mel wrote: Coolies. Is it a spray can jobbie? Last frame I did took aaaages to harden - it sucked. Nice colour choice though.

When you getting the mary bars?

tiz a can jobbie, it was just to get rid of that god-awful look that it had before :p

i had 3 fan heaters cranking their asses off all last night so it hardened bloody nicely.

That looks like a pretty heavy duty singlespeed you've got there Edward. I like it!

I was collecting together parts to build a heckler or similar using the switchback frame, but busted a shifter so decided to go singlespeed for the winter at least.

Kind of a trail/light freeride singlespeed :eh:

If anything, I am faster on it as I was prone to granny grinding*.

*um. can I take that back?

As I already run 32:16 as a 'magic gear', I insist that you try it first, HDC :sly:

Here is the latest incarnation of my old Steel hardtail. Now relegated to "the bike I ride to the pool, or the shops", running 44:18, spent a little while getting the chainline perfect. I like the 2.5" hookworms, phat as hell :p
(I got another SS project going on in the garage for off-road use, since I realised this one here has all the lightweight properties of rock)

Won't the porky nature be due to the hookworms?

Run some Krads/motos, or if you want lighter, speshy hemispheres and your bike will be transformed.

Like 1.5kg lighter transformed.

finished building it this morning and took it for a spin round town

YdOpen frame
pikes (wound down to 120mm), juicys and front wheel off the AC (can only ride one bike at a time anyway :eh: )
may get rid of the red tyre one day but it keeps the rim off the ground for now
and i now need to start aquiring brownie points so i can get it its very own forks front brake and wheel

*Edit* that is an extremely bad pic  will get a better one later

it is indeed a magnificently ghetto wall ride.
and i can get the wheels just onto the concrete but no way i am going near the brakes while i am up there :hmmm: have had a spill off it once and is not something i want to do again
