I went for my first SS ride in BLFP last night. Jees! my kidneys can tell this morning. I've gone soft in the 3 years I've been riding full sus.

What an absolute blast, rail it round the corners keep pedalling and exit at same speed. Woot!

I done rode minefor the first time today!

It was at the Bike Jam with a bunch of kids, but it got muddy (and poo-ey. Who lets their f***ing dogs shit on a park, FFS? ) and I fanged around the course being barged by vicious 10 year olds and barging a few back. :sly:

I was looking like a legend of hardness until I started getting mocked by Hisky... :(

Great fun! Now all I need is to take it into the hills, although I think my 32:16 might be a tad steep at first... :paranoid:

I just fitted a nice fat new Sram PC-1 chain to my singlespeed this morning. Went for a ride at Couger Park, Tokoroa this afternoon. Lovely day.

I did something else too. I changed the set-up of my bike today, based on Ned Overends advice in his book "MTB like a champion'. Anyway, essentially I lowered my seat by about 3.5cm from where I have been riding it for about 9 months (you can see why I was a bit sceptical about doing it), also moved it back about 2cm's also. I rode for 2 hours, and I didnt have a sore lower back. Normally I would have, but would just pass that off as normal. Quite happy am I.

Hey that stem looks shiny Paul. Is it a 4-bolt job (I remember you saying you were wanting instead of the 2-bolt one you had on there)
