currently building up my old bauer as a single speed. i had orgianlly started to and found that i couldnt get cranks off, as i didnt have a crank tool, so, saturday afternoon, im painting her up, sunday, doing the whol tesnsioner and spacer thing and putting on V brakes and cleats. Then as soon as my package from PBR (seat) arrives, i will be blionging, just need some grips now. all in all, should owe me around $250...not bad really.

Really... lowering your centre of gravity is the very last benefit you'd ever want from a seastpost :D
A 165 carbon / titanium saddle would do the same job... but look less hideous! :p

I bet those would be quite cheap too :p
