Choice! Seize the opportunity and become the Ansel Adams of Vorbania. More mountains, please.

On it! :)

That's a stunning window view, Bigfoot. Where are these?
Here're some from 2009 of a little sampan I built from 2 sheets of ply...

Sticking with the nautical, a Western Red Cedar Alaia from the same time (which didn't float quite as well)...

Very cool!

The first one was from the window of the hotel I stayed in when I moved back here a few weeks ago - also happens to be where my local pub is. Prince Rupert on the north coast of British Columbia - best natural harbour on the west coast of North America, so ample boatography to be had. The second one was from my former home, Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, looking towards Vancouver (behind the fog bank). The boat in that one was one of the ferries that goes back and forth from the mainland to the island.

Managed to get a trip down to Canterbury over the weekend and had 3 mornings of pretty clear skies :)

on the 3rd morning I had planned to head in towards Erehwon/Ashburton lakes but when I rolled out of Methven it looked cloudy over that way so I opted to head into Coleridge, on the way there an idea pop into my head...

That's a pretty awesome sky, Shane, especially with the whacky cloud action going on.

Choice, Bigfoot. I have friends from Vancouver island. Everything I've seen of it makes it look like a great place to be. Prince Rupert is looking mighty grand, too.

Yeah it is pretty good - PR is the rainiest city in Canada, so that will take some getting used too again (this is not the first time I have lived here - but it is the first time I have seen it through a camera lens!)
