I never got around to buying a camera, bikes and parts thereof have been the mainstay of recent present buying for the lady of the house.
Anyway, now I've got lunchtime tomorrow to save my last minute present buying arse. Is the EOS 600D still a good body as a base? Or have things moved on in a year?

700d has some improvements not sure what, better af, touch screen(?) etc but not a big change.

I'd go for the 600d, 18-55 and 55-250 if theres a good deal on it

Ended up with this, seems to fit the bill. This is probably the start of another expensive hobby I imagine. Hopefully my good lady likes it.

Yeah, I will, I've book marked your recommendation from last time.

I'll grab it at the weekend, my initial concern today was just having something for her birthday which is tomorrow. It's the same date every year but I still don't get organised.

I just have to conceal my excitement now and let her play with it.
