Chur, Ryda, although I'm definitely not a master. I just like B&W because I grew up in a grayscale World, and find it a bit easier to visualise contrast. My images look pretty flat on the interwebby, but will hopefully print OK when I get home.

There are some nice little storms / squalls coming through here lately.

Amazing cloud formations....and you capture them well, IMHO anyway

last night it cleared enough for me to have crack at startrails :)

I started to read up about how to take star trails a couple of weeks ago, and while taking those milkyway pics over Plimerton I wondered about combining startrails with the milkyway. While I had seen plenty of milkyways and startrail pics, I hadn't seen the two combined. Untill yesterday when a link poped up on my FB news feed to some pics which include exactly that..... my personal thunder of was stolen :( , still I gave it a crack anyway & here is my results (on 500px) :)

I took this out the back of home next to the wood pile

That's really cool Shane, well done.
Awesome to someone progressing so quickly, and getting great results without all the top dollar kit too.

You're making me wish I had more time to play with the camera. Just gotta make some time I think.

Maybe I'm I tight arse, but it sems to be the way of my life... (not always with great result) but trying to do well without spending the money, I also hope it encourage/inspires others to get out there and use-enjoy what equipment the have

in saying that you "Conners" have inspired some my attemps, you take great shots, so yes get out there and let us see them

I had a crack at astro time-lapse, needs a bit of refinement but quite happy with it all the same

top end astro stuff is expensive but an entry camera with kit lens can knock out some great shots too.
