Whatevs bol. Some of us don't give a shit and still just want point and shoot with an easy output

In that case the raw+jpg option is your winner. Best of both worlds, just costs a bit if memory - but means you can go back as tweak down the track if you so desire.

light room is great - keeps the photo more realistic, PS seems, to me, to be too heavy in the effect - it's easy to see a photoshopped pic. Whereas lightroom comes across as a camera lens, setting or filter.

I found applying presets then observing what settings each preset adjusted is a good learning tool for understanding for manual play

A bit lazy on the photo front lately, but here's a visitor shot comfortably from my sofa...

Nice!

As for jpg vs raw, I see no reason to shoot jpg now. The only downside is storage an thats cheap.

Most things can deal direct with raw files, all you notice is the additional flexibility and IQ of a raw.

I know how that feels!

We could likely run a dozen DSOW and I have at least 10 photo trips I've been invited on this year , yet I has to work the day job to cover the bills! :/
