One wee roll down the hill.. no chain or front derailleur (dumb story), yeah.. WOW!, anybody who borrows that thing is going to have to be careful! and that's not broken in much and with the stock pads.. :o :o :o

anyone in chch likely to be able to repair a cracked 853 frame? crack at head tube downtube junction, both sides, bad picture below.

wondering about resurrecting my Soul for light duties... designated 'bach' bike... probably rigid.

So hardtail made for ballpark 120mm forks, most rigid forks seem to be on the short side (more like 80mm equivalent) would using 29er rigids be retarded? I cant really think of any reason why not :eh:

29r forks work good, did it with my Switchback, see pic in this and this blog post. AND gives you the option of chucking 69er styles onboard...
