Up nice 'n' close, Wolffman! I hope you're enjoying it. My daughter's heading over to Adelaide today for some track racing, and will get a peek at the TDU tomorrow.

Some more TDU photos from stage 2 up Corkscrew. Im standing at the last hairpin where it flattens out to about 9% gradient
The last ones are of the tour village. All the team mechanics are set up in little booths that line both sides of a giant marquee. The mechanics are working away while punters stand feet away watching them like they are in a zoo. The riders and team managers all wander through the area on the way back to their hotel which is on the other side of the road.
The other side of the marquee is filled with manufacturers displays.
On the other side of the square lots of the big manufacturers have display and trial bike stands where you can arrange to take the latest bike of your dreams (as long as its carbon) out for a spin for a few hours.
More shaved legs and inappropriate lycra than you can shake a stick at.

I've just spent the last week off yacht racing. Thought I'd share a few shots from the first couple of days which was the Wellington to Nelson race (120nm). Not really conditions to be exposing expensive camera gear to so these are from a combination of a Canon 40D + EF17-40 f4L, a Samsung waterproof P&S and my iPhone (and I'm not apologising for the instagram!).
