Spectacular wind today even by Welly's standards! So left the roadie and headed for the bush, in off Aro Valley and up to the end of Barking Emu/Tip Track epic gust's on the grassy point!
Down the perimeter and down and up to the scout hall in Campbell St. Salvation then over to the Park Koru, Missing Link, Aratahi again epic wind at the top and down Northface etc Swigg an out.
Amazingly good considering the conditions, the sheltered tracks were like another world, very dry and riding fast, thanks to the trail pixies 35km off road right in the city, we be v lucky.

Ditto. Rode transient (down and back) highbury fling, fenceline

Holiday in Wanaka, lots of laps of Deans Bank on my bros 29er. First time I've ridden one and its damn fast on easy flowy single track. So fast it feels like a cheat. Just to confirm reality took it down a small rocky stream and it didn't like it.

Rameka Track, Pack Track, Great Expectations- all in Golden bay. One of the best rides I have had in ages.

A bit on jungle riding. Was nice. Slippy but nice.

View on the way out was a cracker too.

travelled over from the wairarapa to ride wainui tracks yesterday, man those tracks are sweet at the mo. heaps of families out and about which was great to see. Out of curiousity is Labrinth 1 or 2 way( i thought 2) and Towai trav. is that 1 or 2 way? thought it was only one way but met some riders heading towards me.

Me and the Dude went out to the fine trails in Wainui, did the usual- TT return, 491, snails, beeline. Jumped in the warm sea at Petone.

Yesterday did a lap of Makara- riding nice and great to see young Jono toiling away on A by himself in the sun.

Plan for the rest of the week includes the truth of Deliverance, a bit of Solitary and then nuckle whitening Rata Ridge.

Could b a epic summer.
