Here a couple of photos I took almost 20 years ago with a SLR and macro extension tube (can't remember the lens I was using) and the same 1:24 model Ferrari using the telephoto from about 1 metre away

Nice shots ryda, esp the Wrights Hill one. What model camera did you buy.

A hint for taking the moon shots is have your ISO set to the lowest setting possible to help decrease noise, a low aperture f~number and a shutter speed of at least 150 to 400 (it is great how you can see the results straight away to see which works best)

Amazing pics Tugboat. The Statue and daffodils photo- Am I right in guessing that it was Photoshopped? ie layers B&W with colour highlights?

Bloody brilliant anyway

Cheers. They're all single images with just basic edits in Lightroom.

That first one has the vibrancy turned right down, greens desaturated, red saturation boosted to counter the lack of vibrancy and a bit of exposure recovery on the face of the statue but that's about it.

The second is pretty similar processing (without the exposure adjustment).
