Pretty sure I can see Jesus too...

Given that the location was Bioko Island, not far from Black Beach Prison, the former is more likely...

Since I still don't have my camera back from Intensive Care, I'm resorting to oldies. I'm sorry if I've posted any of these Ethiopia pic's before. The first lot is of an Abore family living near a village I got stuck in when the drivers of the truck I hitched a ride on got too pissed to continue. A young fella from the village took me out to meet this family, who brewed up coffee for me from wild bushes growing around their camp. They were a whole lot nicer than the truck drivers were...

Le Truck (after pushing it up a hill, but before the drivers got pissed), the passengers (during a stop to take on additional spot cargo), and my excellent self-appointed guide (along with his step-brother, who bottled out after a couple of km's).

A scene of growing disgruntlement - This bus decided to drop its gearbox on the road in the middle of the Rift Valley. The kind conductor gave us each back about 1/2 of the ~$3.00 fare as we had covered about 1/2 of the 10 hr journey. Unfortunately it was the middle of the day, and about 30km to the closest settlement. The only vehicle over the next 3 hrs was a tourist Landcruiser which barreled on through without stopping. I was fortunate in that one of the passengers had been working on a road gang to the South, and one of their trucks came through fully laden with gravel. About 20 of us happily clung on to each other on top as we tried not to slip en masse off the sides. That got us the 30km to a village, but then we all reverted back to fierce competitors as we each tried to get someone in the village to take us the next section to the town of Arba Minch. It was a lotto day for the owner of an old short wheelbase Series 1 Landrover, and probably a new record for the number of humans that could be attached to the same.
