The bronze coloured Fraser in your Pukekohe photo's belongs to an aquaintance of mine. Chris has a heap of fun with his, although he has a mint (both condition and colour!) Mk1 Esky Mexico that I much prefer. The Fraser might have a pricey build cost, but his, at least, costs nothing between race meets, is as reliable as a swiss watch.

Anyway ... if you are a lanky barstard like me then check you can fit in one. When I had a chance to try one I was like a fat chick getting into a wetsuit. Problem was I my feet were right against the bulkhead. Knees hitting the firewall. The only way to put my feet on the pedals was to lift myself off the seat, while I put my foot across. Once I was on the pedal I couldn't flex my ankle enough for the clutch to fully disengage. Same with the brake pedal, not good.
I think they do make a raised footwell/firewall now and caterham even do a wide body car for fat cunzors. But try before you buy.

My neighbour just got a new toy. I wasn't really much of a fan of new US muscle, but I have to say it's pretty damn nice, sounds fantastic and for an 1800kg car, pretty f'ing quick! It's a 6.2l supercharged V8, not sure of power, but it spins the 265s on the back fairly easily in 1st and 2nd with traction control off.
Those pics don't really do the wheels justice, they actually look quite good in the flesh.

Apparantly the Yellow ones transform into big monsters.
