Sorry - I'm out for a few more weeks with a fractured finger, but should hopefully be back and at it in December.

The revolve woman's cycling group are helping out on the track tonight. We've got a couple of hundred meters of rebenching to go. I'll be there from 1730. All welcome.

Yep, will be there. Hopefully there is also a corporate group working up there for the day though the weather was doggy this morning.

We're making great progress and will be at the last switchback soon .

Cool, need to extract it from under the house. File lives in my bag, will bring it and a hacksaw to reduce the stomper.
Not suprised the file went awol...

I borrowed the file for over the weekend, sharpening the lawn mower. I put it back in the plastic box yesterday on the way to work though... Sorry forgot to mention that..

A few photos from the Transpower Corporate volunteer day on Wednesday. Big effort from the TP crew - cheers!

Yeah Transpower did a fantastic job on the rebenching. We also got most of the retaining wall built so the last switchback will be easy to use. I've since finished it off and is ready for back filling today! See you up there.

So, the revolve group should be turning up for a dig tonight. Me and the Dude will be there from 530 pm, working either side of the last switchback. All welcome.

I will bring along a couple of Three Boys Oyster stouts for a sip afterwards, so bring a beer if interested.

CONGRATS - The Polhill track builders got 'Highly Commended' at the Encore Awards (combined Greater Wgtn Council and DOC volunteer awards) in the Recreation Volunteers Award category. The other finalists were: Pauatahanui Inlet walkway (they won) and Miramar tracks - no mention but great they made the finals. We got a kowhai tree that will be planted in a special spot - have asked WCC for a bench seat so it will get planted near that - thinking near the junction with Planet Ride.

The track is almost finished after over 2 years of good honest toil. It gets an obscene amount of use. We are now looking at what else can be done in the reserve and want to help WCC masterplan it.
