Ran into Mr AJK as I was about to head up Aro Valley, he was in cruise mode but I still barely kept up with him up Transient, I rode up the road and he rode up Carparts, the sick bastard, Car Parts Extension, Barking Emu etc up to Hawkins Hill. Nice run back down again, CPX and Barking Emu were much nicer than last time I rode them a couple of weeks ago when they were really muddy. Awesome tracks. Nice day too, ima need to start wearing sunblock again soon lest my pasty whiteness gets fried on such a nice day...

Sessioned the top section of the Mt Vic super D for a bit, then a couple down TTS and a grom to finish...riding so nice, looks like not many people have been riding the steeper stuff since the ridge line has become more popular.

Had been up to Makara 4 times this week to settle on a 35-40 min loop I can ride as much as possible after work, during summer. Turns out that now includes the carpark-summit-carpark loop before dark It's a little outside the 35- 40 mins but worth it

Has been a mint week for late rides, I think tomorrow will be the last for a while if the forecast is anything to go by

Mt Vic Super-D after work. Dry as, been aaaages since I've ridden up there, top section certainly has a few more braking bumps on it since I last rode it

New tyres are awesome, make my bike feel like a DH bike, heh.

Broadmeadows - Makara via Skyline, loop of Makara & home. That Scirsi Tce climb is a killer.

Up to Mt Lowry then down Rata Ridge and back up Jungle Gym. Man... Rata Ridge is AWESOME. Can it actually be ridden in it's entirety without dismounting or caning yourself??

There was one steep downhill section that Velocipedestrian and I walked/climbed down when we rode it, but I reckon on a good dry day with a bit of commitment it'd be doable. Dunno about one or two of the switchbacks too, and there may have been some uphill that was unrideable but I forget if that was on Rata Ridge or Mt Lowry (lots of unrideable up on Lowry...)


I had a skid around polhill after work, was a little moist...binned it coming back down transient but all I somehow got was a muddy glove, managed a somewhat graceful over the bars dismount...
