Shit!

One of my old girlfriends in college used to drive one of these sewing machines - 4 of us used to pick it up and turn it sideways in its carpark so she couldn't get out!

Haha, good friend of my Dads, back in the mid 1980's named Graeme Sellwood, midmounted a 350ci chev, east-west, into one of these, no gearbox, just a torque converter with 3 chain sprockets on the back of it, delivering power to a 3" solid rear axle (go-kart style) via 3 chains. It was brutal, did wheelstands and everything. When he turned up to the Port Road drags with it one day, he did one pass in practice and reset the track record, before the scrutineers decided it wasnt legal and told him to go home. This guy was a proper kiwi scientist, and came up with all manner of crazy motorized inventions, including a go-kart with a YZ250 engine on each side, which he sent into outer space while competing in the Wallaceville Hill Rd hillclimb one day, wonder what he's doing these days....

I sure hope Toyota make that.

But restyle it as a peoplemover with a Prius engine first. And make it look less angry too.

Saw the original FT86 concept in Paris about 6 months ago, good to see it may get produced.

I prefer the red FT-86. The Black FT-82 II seems a bit West Coast customs
