Its all on today. Jonathan has a Global Volunteer Network day in there today doing blazing, tree/scrub removal and benching. The retaining walls are meant to be underway today as well thanks to a WCC contractor. Perhaps see you there!

Workparty is on today unless really bad things fall out of the sky. Hopefully the 2 retaining walls are finished and we can backfill them.

The retaining walls were completed and backfilled yesterday. There will be a Revolve ladies track build session on this Sunday.

B a week or two before I get back into it, concussion from face plant into tree, followed by racing anyway in the enduro
has not surprisingly lead to my back not working.

I hope you didn't faceplant into a tree while trackbuilding?

Excellent day for a track build - perhaps see you up there about midday. The Revolve Chicks MTB group had an enthusiastic go at track building over the weekend - made good progress and hope to set up a regular session when daylight saving kicks in.

I've managed to get myself stuck up in awkland today, but I'm planning on spending lunchtime digging tomorrow - I assume the tools will be in the usual place?

I rode up the new bit last week - it's got a really nice feel to it. It's going to be a fantastic track when it's all done!

Hi Jono.
As far as I know the tools are just left out at the moment.
Might change though because the track entry is not exactly hidden anymore.

What a lovely day, thanks to andrew and andy, the grade reversal was finished off and should ride well. I then interfered with Andrews plans to fix a drainage problem but such are the perils of middle management.Think it will need a pipe.

Will get the learned Craig to look at it

Yep tools all in plain sight Jono

The drainage didn't look too bad to me. It maybe needs to be a bit deeper (in my experience you need a good 50cm+ of depth in your trench before you start filling with rocks).

I went up yesterday (I took the bike to work and told myself that if it stopped raining I would head up). It stopped raining until I was about half way up willis street.

I spent about 45 minutes digging up the hill, and added about 7m of bench. It's a bit rough at the moment, but I was mostly trying to get a level from the grade reversal up to the next set of natural benchy bits. I suspect that the tree on the inside of the corner at your grade reversal will need to go, but we can address that later.

It got progressively more damp as I dug, and by the time I made it back to the office I was leaving muddy footprints all over the carpark.
