I bet if you plotted the axle path it would be almost identical.

I did one in bike cad once actually, like the Marin except the shock was mounted on the front link up by head tube because you couldn't change where it mounts. The new 303, anniversary edition one, they're racing has a perfectly vertical wheel path.
