People don't actually seem to tow heavy stuff with Falcons or Commodores, they use SUVs as far as I can tell so RWD is a crock for all apart from the performance models. For that bring in the Mustang, problem sorted.

I will say the NASCAR Taurus's look good. But its only a % silhouette of the shell.

I thought at first that the wheel track and base bit was BS, just had a look on ford website. Well bugger me not by much but WTF is that about Falcon has more overhang. Noticed that the Falcon has a lower overall height though Less drag :lol:

Well, i sincerely hope they do keep the Falcon, it (along with the commodore) has to be one of the better selling large cars Ford has produced, even if only locally. I've always wondered why they haven't marketed it in the US or UK. Top Gear raved about the Vauxhall VXR8 (Holden Clubsport), and I've always wondered what they'd think about the XR6T or an F6 Typhoon.

Speaking of Bathurst / future racing etc. NZ looks set to get its' own 1000km weekend, all be it 2 separate 500km races. In June, at Hampton Downs. 1 500km race for NZV8s only, the other 500km a "free for all, in they style of the old Wellington street race". Sounds bloody good to me!

Ok, new thread, much better than the first.

My best mate just sent me some pics of his project car, and its really coming along, so I share them here.

As is the usual policy, I want the trainspotters among you to answer a few questions, although it shouldnt take long....

1) What is the year/make/model
2) What are the 2 major body mods (m not talking about the ride height, Im talking panel mods)
3) How fucken sick does this thing look?

I'm gonna have a guess and say
1) '55 Chevy Belair?
2) Body seems to have been moved back a fair way on the chassis - that's alot of rear overhang. Not sure about the second body/panel mod, so I'll just say there isn't a front??
3) On a scale of 1 to sick, it's FREAKIN SICK!!! :thumbsup:

It's been chopped ~3-4".
Firewall has been flattened and recessed.
So sick it has aids, though that could be from the gay turquoise chassis. The "90's was 2 decades ago dude.

Yep its a 57 Chevy

The 2 mods I was looking for, are the roof chop, and that the rear guards have been lengthened and made higher. Although I will grant an honourable mention for picking up on the custom firewall.

Injected 427, running through 6-speed Richmond, to Ford 9" lsd. The heads arent aluminium, they are cast iron heads that have been completely HPC coated.

The turquoise wouldnt have been my first colour choice, but I wont knock it.
