Went to ride a big gear hurt session at the track, but got there and found out club racing was on. Had a go, but got my legs ripped off. So it pretty much ended up being intervals spending 5-6 laps chasing like hell at full gas.

until my broken wheels sorted I'm reduced to the spin bike at the gym...so I've been down there tonight and done 2 hours at a minimum of 110rpms spin and cranked up the resistance every 15 minutes for 5 minutes to simulate hill climbs. a fellow riding buddy is loaning me his spare wheels until I can sort out mine.

Where have all the Roadies gone. I guess the fine weathers hit, this thread has gone so silent it disappeared from mini vorb.

Suppose I should join the roadies by going out for a ride.....and it is so damned nice I am taking my camera (again)!

All the wellites will be out in the primo wx :)

Buggar all wind out there so I had a quick spin up horokiwi on the way home - 13.5 minutes from the turnoff to the top. Great without a northerly in your face. :)

Went out for an evening cruise, just cause I could. Didn't really know where I was going to end up, but I took on a couple of roads I hadn't seen before. The first had some awesome views from the top....

And then the second one (an AWESOME hill climb I might add!) also had some views...
evening ride 007.JPG

the roundabout in the foreground is where I had come from but to get to this point you climb up and over the hill, drop into the valley, down some more then turn back up the hill continuing almost in a circle to about 500m from where you were....just 5km of roads later... :)

And really just to rub it in for those who were stuck inside 'studying' I rode off into the sunset....I hit 78.2kph heading back down the hill I might add too. :D

Really happy for a beaut evening solo ride with no real purpose, now it is time to relax in the spa!

Is that the road opposite Lindale Matt? Great views!

I did an evening ride, just over the top of Mt Biggs and across Mt Stewart Road onto Halcombe, up to Stanway and down to Beaconsfeild Valley and then home via Kimbolton. Pleasant run with no wind for a change.
She Who Must be Obeyed and I are in Wangavegas tomorrow for the fireworks at Cooks Gardens so I'm going to pedal over via Marton, some good long hills so should be a work out.

:eh: What has happened to all the other Roadies that contribute here?!

For myself – I’ve not ridden for about 2 weeks. My work has kicked in again and, basically, apart from keeping fit, there is nothing here to train for (going out for a ride just ‘cause is nice of course).
Hopefully I can motivate myself for Saturday and Sunday AM rides at least….

I did have a good ride round the Bays on Thursday and had a ride with a client in the morning. Great day for riding, pity my legs were toasted.
