Zerode Progress...

Postby scoobydoo on Sat 29/Aug/09 9:30am

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since the last update. The reason for this is that
we have decided to move production of Zerode bikes from Asia to New
Zealand. This gives us control every step of the way, and will ensure
we get the quality we need for each and every bike that goes out the
door. All of the tools are on the way to NZ, in the mean time we have
been sorting out heat treating, painting, welding etc locally. Most of
the pieces of the puzzle are in place and we plan on hitting the
ground running when the tools get here.....

Expect to see a bunch of kiwis ripping up the trails towards the end of 2009...

Check out the latest edition of Spoke Mag for a little more info on
the Zerode project http://www.spokemagazine.com/

Happy Trails

Rob

Rob

Good to see that things are progressing nicely, I can't wait to get passed by a Production Zerode out on the hill. I'm sure for those punters who are waiting with baited breath, will be stoked to hear that they're not too far off

even better... WAIT.

given
in the mean time we have been sorting out heat treating, painting, welding etc locally.
this probably means they still don't have prices quite sorted yet.

I sent them an email the other week asking about price and when they are due out. The still don't have a price and they said they will be out before the end of the year. So I'm just saving hard out hoping I'll have enough put away for when they come out.

yup, but Dodzy has been racing a tubular steel proto, not the hydroformed one

there was an earlier thread on here from when they had just built up the first hydrofomed one (had obama's face instead of the face of the vietnamese worker)

I guess this will delay the AM version. SO i wonder if the DH version will go OK with a single crown??

Any one know if they are coming out as a complete bike or just as a frame?
