Checked your chain line?
You may not be getting enough chain wrap on the 14tooth cog.

Are you using a half link with flanged spacers?

Not at all man. Was a newsflash to me at the time too. I replaced both cogs and the chain on my DMR and it was still exhibiting the same symptoms you described. Had the tensioner set up perfect and chain wrap was more than sufficient. What it turned out to be was that I had used one 1/2 link in the chain, and the spacers I'd used had a flange. The 1/2 link wasn't sitting properly on the rear cog. Solution was ditching the flanged spacers for typical DMR type spacers.

Well after all that I went for a ride today on the 'off road' version of my SS commuter running 44:21 and it was great, very fun, not so fast. but that's because i went with my mates... ;)

Here is the steed...now to spend the rest of the afternoon changing ratios and tires for the commute tomorrow

No mud says you need to spend more time riding less time cleaning.

Crap. That's just what lazy people say to justify their poor habits. The people I know who ride the most have the best looked after bikes of anyone. :hmmm:

That's because their team mechanics wash and maintain them whilst they are getting massaged, eating and sleeping

I'm keeping out of this one, since my fisher is currently festering in the car after a night fang :)

It'll get hauled out just in time for the work commute tomorrow morning :(

maybe a clean and service tomorrow night, now that I have figured out that what I thought was a locking screw for the EBB, is actually a self extractor cap { ala raceface cranks } that will make ratio swapping easier, as that wedge gizmo locks up pretty good on the EBB
