Took my daughter to test ride a new, as yet unopened piece of track and it got the 8 y/o seal of approval...

Today I had Audioslave along Skyline, ACDC and Pearl Jam at Belmont, Nas along Lowry, Slayer up Crazyman and James Taylor on the way home.

Went for a wee tootle around Mt Somers today.

A bit of walking (partly due to people that need to learn to get off the track when they're walking, partly my sad legs), a wee crash that must have looked pretty good to the guy behind me judging by his concerned tone when he asked if I was OK but only minor panel damage to me and none to the bike so all good. Nice day out in the sun.

Took my 10 year old down for a ride also, he loved it so I suspect there may be another starter from the family for events in the future. I might even buy him a decent bike if he keeps this up.

Moonshine park, up cannon point, over into karapoti via woolshed, to carpark/roadend. turned around, back up via valleyview, down via zigzag, and back to moonshine.
38km, just under 800m of climbing.

jeepers it was steep,hit 12% in full sun, and run out of water at 28km - lucky it was at the top of the final climb.

Nightride own goldmine then along the fenceline to Makara, Grand loop heading down zac/varleys/wahine. Finally got my forks setup right and ripped epic skids on the crows.

All was good in the world.

Yesterday, Hunua farms loop. Damn I fat and slow, need to HTFU.

B thumbs up though to the orchestra of Tuis 1/2 way round, had to stop and listen for 5 minutes, awesome!

Golden Bay. Hard tech climb. But great switchback infested descent!

Took my daughter to the Three Sisters.
Was as dry as ever and could clear every thing,switch backs,ruts and even the bush lawyer hanging at head height.

I started yesterday, but technically I finished today at 2am. I rode 414km from Nelson to Christchurch in 19hrs including stopping for water etc.... Epic!
