It was great to be back in the Waitakeres again.

That pic looks so soothing. It would make a good pic to hang in the lounge

Here is some pics from the Festival of Lights in Taranaki. I am still learning how to use the new camera, and there were so many people around it was hard to get time to set up a decent shot, but I am happy with the results. enjoy. :)

Some pics I took of my mate riding the other day. The intent here isn't to show off his riding, but the photography :)

Stunning Phil

Yah
No wonder you haven't any time to ride your bike any more Phil

 Thanks - and I did get to ride on Saturday morning as well, damn near killed me though - must get back to regular riding again.

Thanks Bill - one day I will get around to printing and hanging some of these :)

Love that motion blur shot Mr__Gtr. I am not a huge fan of the colourisation of B and W shots, though have done it well, personal oponion is that would look better a pure B and W.

It stands for High Dynamic Range. Its a picture that is a composite of many different exposures of the same subject, meaning that the shadows can become more visible while highlights and midtones can remain the same.

Hmmmm - HDR looks strange - like the bach is a 3D model that has been photochopped in there!

My two cents on the B&W/coloured pic says it would look best if the rider and bike were coloured, but only 50% coloured (faded out). But that's just me...

Hey Short stuff you HDR's dont look like HDR's, are you using multiple different exposures? What software are you sticking them together with?
