Also i went shopping today :0

Looking at camera's pretty much told the sales people that im new to DSLR camera's and want to make the step up to one.
At first i was pointed towards the Fujifilm S2000hd which has the zoom and continous flash options of the DSLR camera's but lacks the ability and choice of changing lenses. Price was $479.

Then i went to another shop and the VERY helpful sales ladie was telling me about the Canon 1000D DSLR camera . . . . . i got to play with it and i liked this one very much. Comes with twin lenses one for sports with more zoom and the other more general and landscape. Prices range from $999 at Dicksmiths upto where the very helpful sales ladie was at $1399 so i might go back tomorrow and see if she can sort out her pricing - they all said its a good entry level DSLR camera and i found it good to use. Any thoughts on these camera's from vorbies.

Cheers

I finally got a few (almost) decent shots of a harrier today. Even using the 12X zoom on the camera, I had to heavily crop it

Last year I was at Nicol's Creek trying to take a pic of a wood pidgeon. Every time I got near it, I would aim my camera and pre focus (in auto P&S mode) and the damn thing would fly off to another tree. I must have chased it around for about 10 minutes and I still didn't manage to get a photo.

i was lucky that this year /last year there is heaps of food round so they werent to keen on flying to much very fat (the down side is there lots of food for stoats and rats)

there was one that kept coming to my grandmas house and i could stand like 30cm away from it and it wouldn't fly away if you want to see the photos there is one on this forum and the rest can be viewed on the link below

OK, well strictly speaking this is not 'my' photo, but I am paying much w00t to my 9 year old who just seems to have the eye and knack for doing this. I can't seem to get it right myself.....same camera too.
