Yeah here it is again..........

Makara Dust :)

Yey for Reaper winning his Sport class (in his first race as far as I know) at the Makara Peak Rally on my wee beastie, and for setting the fastest single time on the Rec relay by 16 minutes versus 18.

I was a lot slower so the Mojo's first race win had to wait until Reaper's solo run in the afternoon

Uber sunny Wellington day and lots of people enjoying their bikes and the 30kms of awesome single track @ Makara peak

except my forks are different and significantly heavier

and wheels - mine are heavier, and the tyres too

and my brakes are different. Plus my shifters and derailleurs were made by the evil empire

and bars, seatpost and seat are different.

and pedals (I'll be lighter there)

the cranks, umm they are the similar and the chainrings probably too. Cluster is diff too

Hemlocks in the country, and wellingotn should have 2 hitting the trails in the next week or so. . . . .

We must go for a steam

So... a post race analysis of the mojo:

I was satisfied riding it. Made me enjoy the uphill sections, it sorta makes you just want to pedal harder and faster. It was very quick to accelerate and suprisingly stable.

The rear end seemed to just do its thing, it was quite interesting riding behind a couple of people on hardtails - where they stood on the cranks to pedal through a technical section, the mojo would happily glide through, allowing power to be laid down while on the seat.

There aren't too many observations to make, the bike just rides... complex design isn't apparent while pedalling, but it does seem to do it's job well.
