Now that I have put it together and ridden I feel lik I can post this up - still want to get a trailstar lt thou ( bigdaddy what happened to the fraem you were gonna sell me???)

the frame and fork weigh a ton - 1.5" headtube. Need to hard the F up and go to 16T on the back tho, 18 spins out way too quick.

WOOT WOOT WOOT. This bike is winging its way to me now! After years of thinking about single speeding, I am finally trying it! WOOOOOT!

And thanks to Captain Caveman - he's great to deal with guys - definately buy stuff off him!

Have fun - and don't forget it really has three speeds - sit, stand, and walk :)

My quads still hurt 3 days later. But celaning the bike post ride was way too easy !

That Kona probasbly weighs about the same as my frame and fork combined!!

It does get easier..... and when you see the gap between you and your 5" dually mates with their clicky knobs and switches and shit...... increasing by the week..... the smile gets wider too.

You do need to ride rigid though.

You so funny.

I think I would sooner walk up to the scariest dude at aPublic Bar in Otara :satan: and tell him he looks gay

SS + HT + Flats is more than enough of a shock to the system for some time to come I think....

put some light tyres on and it'll fly - those hard drive 2.1s are about 540g each, something racier (exception larsens? racing ralphs?) would be much better

Haven't posted a pic in awhile and this is how the bike was meant to be built up. Best bit about it is it hasn't cost me much and I really love riding it.

Kona Cowan
02(?01 Dont remember) Marz Bomber (air)
Kore bars
Magura Juile hydros
WTB dual duty rims shimano hubs
Trivativ FiveD cranks
KMC chain
Ratio 32:18 Abit spinny on the road, that will soon be solved with a new SS :)

Nice to see it functioning properly again, and not just being talked about being a broken fixed bike.

i nearly died riding my single speed to the top of the rotorua tracks! maybe time to harden up? but next time i am taking gears up those long steep hills. (or change ratio..... hmmm maybe that is a better option...)

what ratio are you guys using that ride rotorua alot? i don't mean the flat sections, but right to the top from the city end of the tracks??
