New bikes make me woot too.
Going back to my old Blue DMR / Jeffson frame, as it was sooo much fun to ride

BUT with a new build kit

2008 Marzo MX LO Pro's (100mm)
Raceface Turbine ISIS cranks
Stans 355 on King ISO wheels
Wide Open brakes
Thomson Post with a Bell-air

What are the brakes?, all I can picture is the ol' YDOpen/Diatech jobbies, and that just doesnt seem to sit right with the rest of the kit you have listed there

yup good 'ol YD Open Brakes , they work bloddy well, not the lightest brakes ever, but work well and aren't too heavy, will be nice on that bike with 6inch rotors

Thats cool. They do seem to be really reliable and maintenance-free, been running some on Heidi's bike (untouched) for about 2 years now, been through 1 set of pads but otherwise nice and trusty
