Re: brakes

I've ridden Hayes pretty much since the start. A change would be nice (plus I'm not so fussed with their current offerings)

Choices are (per end, 160mm and prices from Burkes):
Juicy 7's - $232
Juicy Ultimates - $398 (carbon goodness to go with my carbon bars/stem/seatpost/hubs )
Formula Oro K18/K24 - $305/360 (white to match the frame!)
Shimano XT - $198 + 45 (loved my old Deores and loved the XT's on goldfish's Stumpy)

Opinions please!

HOT!! Definately worth the wait

I'm a big fan of shimano brakes, you can't go wrong with them, maybe XTRs?? the formulas are a bit of a unknown and juicys... well.... heard enough to never bother.

Looking at those prices, What are you willing to pay? Remember you still have to double it.

Price isn't really a factor in it (dude, I'm running Olympics! )
Though both the price and the performance of the XT's does make them very attractive.
But then the carbon goodness of the Ultimates...........

Nice machine! Interesting you went with Arseheavens. Whats up with vertical dropouts? What are you gonna do when your chain stretches a little?

Am I right in thinking that its a pretty slack headtube - looks like a mint wee bike.
