Thats a cocoon of sorts. I think its still making it though, because you can still see the caterpillar's head. Its a moth though, not a butterfly.

Indeed not, it looks MUCH better now - you darkened it up at the same time? Is that using a simple contrast adjustment or something more fancy.
I may even be tempted to use that modified one for the cover of a report for that project if I end up having to write one

mob: Manly is awesome, especially compared with Sydney itself. We'd spent 3 days in the rat race, took the trip to Manly and felt like we'd stepped off into downtown Nelson. Super relaxed, such a contrast to the madness across the harbour.

theres a great cocktail and jazz bar in Manly where we spent a few hours chillin out .... its a brilliant place...although seems to close up shop early on sundays!!!!!!
