On a slightly different note, I was browsing the internet the other night and was looking at a major bike shop's website. On their front page was a photo I had taken.
They were using one of my photos without my permission, the only place they could have got it was from my Flickr site which a creative commons copyright license accompanies each photo.
I asked them to remove it and that they did, but they never sent me an apology or an correspondence at all. I am very disappointed with them especially stealing someone else's work and using it for promotion of their business!!!
They were a major retailer/importer too, they should have known better.
On the plus side of things I got a message the other night asking to use one of my photos on a website for the promotion of a race series and I said yes, its was that easy. This site here http://www.pnp.org.nz/mtb/events/2008/s ... xxi16B55F3

should of let them keep using it and taken note how long they used it and bill them for use
the guys at big pictures employ a person to read the papers and note down how many of there stock photos have been used and promptly send a bill
