Please don't link images from other non vorb-sites... It tends to lead to red x's before too long, and its annoying... cheers.

Its a Flickr static image so the location shouldn't change.
But yeah, I will keep it in mind for the future.

I've got an old Canon Powershot A80 (one of the older ones with full manual controls and stuff, but I'm stuck with the lens attached to the camera).

If I want to improve the shots that I take, and start to extend out so that I use the full manual mode more than the point and shoot modes, is there any good websites that explain thinks like balancing up the F values and shutter speeds etc? Just after some info so I know what its talking about, and generally just where to start.

books are more handy you can throw em in camera bag and wile waiting for right light you can read and refer to them instead of trying to remeber.

a couple of good books if you can find the are the ansel adams books (i have lernt a heap of stuff from them)

The dead tree looks as if it came straight off the LOTR film set!

Here is one of my favourite pics ( can't remember if I hove posted this in another thread or not) taken at Galloway near Alexandra over 2 years ago. It reminded me of a pic that my grandparents used to have of some poplar trees and storm clouds in the background.

 Ok, it has been modified to make it look more dramatic, A layer of B&W faded with the colour to give the "hand painted colouring on a black and white photo" look.

Thanks for the comments. Here is the original
