Jeepers that is big....

A great filter to have for Sky shots is a graduated ND filter. Let's you darken the sky and correspondingly get more detail out of the foreground.

I've got a 77mm one if yo want to snag it for a weekend some time.

Both the 40D and 5D are nice cameras, the 5D has come down in price too probably with the 5D Mk2 being announced.

I have a 10D at the moment and am pretty happy with it, I cant really afford an upgrade at the moment either.

I have a Canon 70-200mm F/4L (I wish I had your lens though), A Canon 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5 (which is for sale) and my new Sigma 17-35mm F/2.8-4

I have also hd on load for about 6 months now a Sigma 15mm F/2.8 Fisheye which I love to bits but am giving back on Thursday :(

I plan to get a Canon 50mm F/1.8 or the F/1.4 in the near future

I would absolutely love a Canon 24-70mm F/2.8 but I cant really justify the money or afford it at this stage.
