On friday I road 40mins out to Eskdale forest to the north end and rad up the 4wd track to and across "Twoman" to Magog rd and then up the 4wd to down "Upper Twoman" back up and across "Upper Magog" down "Lower Magog" across "Boulder" then "Merv's" back around the the road and start to head back up Magog rd with the plan on doing upper twoman again then some of the lower trails on the way out but caught up to Bevan & friend, so I rode with them up "Eskview" across "Highroller" then "Ridgeline, Fenceline, Ledge" then down "Dam Cannon" then 40mins back to Town

50 kms in total & a bit under 3hrs

Belmont Trig with Monolith.

He was on his SS, a "recovery day" :eh:

I was on my awesome shiny pedally with plenty of gears.

Every now and then we were in the same gear, but not often!

It was pretty warm, and no wind

Took my Daughter up the Rimutaka incline for the first time today, she made it all the way to the summit and through the summit tunnel and had a great time!

Then after a late lunch I got to go for a ride up to Belmont trig and down to Baked bean bend. Thats still on of my all time favorites :)

Sifty rides remind us of how much fun it is to be riding a bicycle, so they are good for soul.

My theory, and I intend to test it for any flaws quite often.

Scott's Saddle, Mt Hutt.

Top section felt like being in a pinball machine. Lots of loose rocks + rutted track = all over the show.

Down into the beech, it was all wet slippery roots, yeehaa!

Most fun on a bike in AGES

Loved deliverance, can't claim to have cleaned it though, mucked up a corner at the top and didn't ride one of the pinch climbs.

I liked Nikau for it's slightly more unkept feel.

We tried climbing T3, parts of which are beyond me, but I guess thats what it's all about.

I found parts ofTrickle Falls a bit intimidating, but would probably ride more of it at the start of a ride than at the end of a 3 hour ride.

Salvation, Leaping Lizard, Swigg, Starfish - All good fun.
