Looks good, you should put that tensioner on properly though.

Nothing wrong with how it is. I run mine the same way.

Then you should also put yours on properly... He only has one bolt holding it in place

I'm guessing your just thinking about the pushing the chain up vs down and didn't notice this?

Ah your right, I didn't notice that...

You can run it without that bolt but it is a bit dodgy...plus it comes lose every ride :hmmm:

Didn't have any problem with it the way it shows in the pic. Is the correct way to mount it on the qr axle with adjustment bolt on derailer hanger?

Yes the correct way is to mount it on the qr with the bolt on the der hanger. The way you currently have it set up will wnd up slipping leading to an embarring and painful crash.

Did it not come with instructions?

No instructions at all. Although it came from an internet bike store that shall remain nameless so am not suprised.
Changing to a Surly chain tensioner shortly tho.

The Hammer is a work of art. Utterly stunning, classic steel frame, XTR cranks with the Blackspire guard, colour matched white Syncros rims and WTB saddle, red nips, red chainring bolts and red decals on the rims, just enough black Thomson stuff to ballance the white and stop the whole thing from looking overdone. The classic old school Panaracer Spikes are the perfect finishing touch. I'm quite hard to impress but that bike just blows me away, awesome job!

thank you kind sir  fun fun fun ride too :)

That ford and the mountain backdrop looks kind of familiar. Where is that?

Oh yeah that's what it's all about, one gear on the Wharfdale. I actually try not to ride it too often just cos it's so sweet I don't want to ruin the magic. ;)
