Had a bloody great ride today.

From about 300m into Deliverance I felt good and was going faster than normal.

I had only ridden the 6.6 in wet/slippy conditions until today, so hadn't felt like I could push it too much (limits of grip, etc...) so with the trails in good condition after a week of dryish weather I had a chance to push it a little more.

Passed a couple of riders heading down deliverance and apart from that had a clean run. From the bottom I made my way up to the summit of Makara peak via Koru, Salley alley and the 4wd. Ridgeline has dried out HEAPS in the last week - no real sketchy spots. I started riding a little more aggressively, and by about half way down felt like I was really flying.

A zip down RLE and Swigg/starfish and I was back at the bottom with a massive smile on my face and a sense of relief/happyness - I'd finally been able to ride my bike in anger in a way I like, and it felt so bloody good :D

I too made it along to Makara peak today and ran in to Pete who took a few shots of me while riding down ridgeline. Some good photo's, pitty about the quality of the model :0

Other than that Nikau is still my favorite :)

Must get along there more often....

Got some great trials riding around Auckland. I was support crewing for the Arrow 24hr, so at every transition got to go for a ride. Great fun :D

whipped up the Grampians and down Fuschia trail in the rain. Really eerie in the bush with visibility only 5-10m due to the low cloud.

A runner (spoke to me!) said, "bit wet for that sort of thing."

Hit some of the old, unused DOC tracks up hills. Great fun, but there was so much crap on the trails it made it real slow going. Fun though :)

I rode along the foreshore and did the Tehenui walkway. I was pleasantly supprised at how many attractive women were out in their skimpy jogging outfits.
