From about 300m into Deliverance I felt good and was going faster than normal.
I had only ridden the 6.6 in wet/slippy conditions until today, so hadn't felt like I could push it too much (limits of grip, etc...) so with the trails in good condition after a week of dryish weather I had a chance to push it a little more.
Passed a couple of riders heading down deliverance and apart from that had a clean run. From the bottom I made my way up to the summit of Makara peak via Koru, Salley alley and the 4wd. Ridgeline has dried out HEAPS in the last week - no real sketchy spots. I started riding a little more aggressively, and by about half way down felt like I was really flying.

A zip down RLE and Swigg/starfish and I was back at the bottom with a massive smile on my face and a sense of relief/happyness - I'd finally been able to ride my bike in anger in a way I like, and it felt so bloody good
