Rode at the sandpit again over the weekend...
Both new jumps on SPCA pretty good. :)

I got out of bed to the deafening silence of NOT having rain on the roof...

so 5:40 I was out the door and headed to Makara - wet roads, but nothing from above.

I got about 200m into Koru before the heavens opened, and figured since i was already there I might as well just get sodden and ride. A lower loop there before downing my Up'n'go in the carpark, then headed up Salvation. As I reached the top of Wrights Hill I stopped to take in the sight of the rush-hour traffic heading into welly from the hutt. I thougt about all those people sitting in their vehicles listening to retarded morning radio "banter" :D

A quick blast down Scout Hall Followed by Goldmine and I was back out into the traffic, getting looks of "Are you serious?" from people waiting in bus shelters trying to stay dry/warm as I rode past covered in mud with a wee smile on my dial :)

good way to start the day

Hmmm. Someone needs to show me this Salvation/Scout Hall/Goldmine loop - sounds like a good alternative to Makara for my pre-work ride

i went 4 a ride yesterday and there were some power lines that had fallen down(snapped halfway up) by the strong winds. in one place they were lying across the road. not realy thinking about it, we just rode up to them and bunny hopped over them :paranoid:

Went to check out all of the local trails, which weren't in to good a shape ;) So many fallen trees over the tracks, it's gonna be a lot of work...
