funny - I was about to ask whether you'd been spending abnormal amounts of time down on your knees of late

you need to learn the magic words - "my knee's feeling dodgy so you're on top"

going to get someone to have a look at the bike set up though
i have notoriously tight hip flexors

you need to factor in the seat tube angles as well as sheer bb-seat top height, the 04 dawg has a 73.5 seat tube angle, the orbea (if it's an alma) a 73 degree seat tube. Now it's only 0.5 degrees, but over a typical seat height that'll mean you're about 7mm further forward with the saddle in the same place on the rails and the seat out the same distance.

7mm isn't much - but if you've a proclivity to flexor issues it could be enough...

Playin' at the Makara Peak skills area (lovin' those little jumps & drops), then a quick run down Swigg & home as I wasn't feeling too energetic today...
