Riding around Forrester Park/Bethunes Gully for about 10 minutes when somehow broke my rear derailer hanger, and the derailer went into the wheel........ :(

up old dyers pass rd (thankfully it'd finally dried out) then along the summit tracks to evans pass, then back the same way and down thru vic park and home in time for lunch (and in time to avoid the hot part of the day). Great wee blast with bushman and scolly

Now THAT was a sweet ride. Finally have seen a marked improovement in jumping and dropping and in my trail riding. Finally hitting that weird tweaker gap thats goes over the hole. Though i still cant get the idea of making the bike curve in the air. Then down backdoor
and out down holloway and back home. Shortish ride but still quite fun. Met a new lurker vorber. All up a good ride.

I done ride my big bike up to the Skills Area at Makara Peak, and had a play on the ramps and jumps..they are slowly becoming a normal thing for me to do, hooray.
A guy had a decent fall there and damaged his shoulder and collarbone, Bugger.
As a result I got to do a track inspection on foot of Koru and Livewires, the tracks at Makara Peak are amazing, riding them often means we don't really get to see them properly.
Then I rode serenely down Livewires, big bikes are superb for the old, the lazy or me :-)
Get well soon Todd !

Poor guy did a nice high jump, but landed with the front wheel on an angle, and he was vaulted very high in the air, and he landed on the flat past the jump squarely on his shoulder from a great height..
He is going to be a very sore vegemite for a
quite a while..he coped very well with being hurt, I hope his partner is sympathetic!

But then again here was a person who was out enjoying the ride, being in a forest park, and having a play. How many people never have that joy?

well I didn't ride today, but yesterday I rode up te teorngi or something or rather pa road, down gunna gotta, up pipline road, up the long long long long hot climb to billy T, past it to teh very top, back down to billy t, up Moerangi rd and then DOWN the other end of Moerangi rd at warp factor w00t, then pondy DH (they really need to sign post the turnoff to that track, cos me and judging by the tire tracks, lots of others ride past it), then pondy new, roller coaster, then up pipeline to be rude not to, Lion, soakhole, and exit. I done got sunburnt a wee bit. Then in the afternoon I went for a paddle on lake Rotoiti (sp) and my feetis got burnt too
